What a Great Start to the School Year

Blue Raiders

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for a great start to the school year and a special thanks to the Seventh Grade Team for organizing the Grade 7 "Boot Camp" which was a great success and a great way to help the newest members of the student body feel welcome and comfortable in their new school.
PRINCIPALS ADVISORY COUNCIL ( PAC )
The PAC is a voluntary group of students from grades 7-12 who meet once a month with both the Principal and Vice Principal. These students have the opportunity to discuss school issues and provide solutions and ideas that will help improve Hopedale Jr-Sr High School.

The Principals Advisory Council (PAC) met today for the first meeting of the school year. Assistant Principal Tim Johnson and I conducted the meeting with twelve members of this year's PAC. Our agenda included introductions, a recap of last year's PAC accomplishments and goals for this year.

Last year the PAC came up with the idea of celebrating and acknowledging students that exhibit positive behavior. Their idea is called Class of the Month.  Each month a select group of staff members will receive nomination forms from teachers who wish to nominate any class they believe has exhibited positive behavior, or the HJSHS schools Core Values. Teachers have the nomination forms  and we encourage you to fill them out when you see classes or extracurricular activity groups exhibiting our School's Core Values.

Once the class has been selected we will post a picture of the class outside the main office, create a video interview of the teacher and students and post these on the web and morning announcements.
It is a goal of the PAC to continue to celebrate the schools Core Values and Vision Statement of HJSHS.
